The book takes the reader through many proofs from the canon of existing scripture. It is a scriptural sleuthing of clues both big and small. The Book of Mormon happens to have three prophets on the earth at the same time Christ would be born in the flesh. They would be the perfect wise men. For a religion that answers almost all of the deep secrets of Christianity, there is no good discussion of the identity, mission or nature of the wise men from the east. This book is that discussion. It is a complete theory of who they were, why and how they went to Jerusalem and what their mission may have been. All of this comes from hard pieces of scriptural evidence that have simply never been put together in one spot. Many have since discussed this theory of Mormon wise men, and Nephi, Lehi and Samuel, but the publication of this book in the fall of 2002 was the introduction of the theory.

Since that time I have received dozens of notes written to me from individuals who have "discovered" this theory, only to find out that I had already done a "deep dive" on the Mormon wise men and their journey from the East.

Many have written to say that they sat for two solid hours and devoured the book and many of those said that they wore a wide grin the entire time. Their grin was for the ease of the theory. It is not a bit of a stretch. And when they finished, the completeness of the theory brought another grin and in a couple of cases a giggle, knowing that this is a very solid and plausible idea. Everyone that talks to me about the book uses the same phraseology, saying, "I really hope it's true." And, "I really hope we get confirmation of this some day." I am not a wacky High Priest that loves to speculate about wild theories of the Gospel. This is not a wacky book about strange "out there" theories. This a a friendly, simple and solid idea, (with little real meaning to anyone's salvation). But it is solid and clever and any true devotee of the scriptures will really love this little book. And once they read it, they will mention it to at least one other person.

I have 75 copies left of the second printing. This book makes and excellent gift for the Gospel Doctrinaires in your life. Let them have an enjoyable two hours in front of a warm fire reading this enjoyable book.

From The East: A Book of Mormon Perspective on The Three Wise Men

$15.00

Who were the Wise Men spoken of in the Scriptures?

Were they random astrologers? or,

Were they Prophets of the Lord invited to attend to young Jesus?

What was the purpose of their visit to Jerusalem?

How did they know the "new star" was a sign of Jesus' birth?

These and other, age old questions surrounding the Wise Men and the birth of Jesus have been debated, yet have gone unanswered for centuries.

From the East - A Book of Mormon Perspective on the Three Wise Men, critically and thoroughly examines both modern and ancient scripture to piece together the most complete and comprehensive theory to date on the identity and and sacred mission of these three inspired men and Prophets;

the Prophet Nephi,
his brother, Lehi,
and Samuel the Lamanite.
